1. About Pawshare and these draft terms
Pawshare Ltd., at 50 Birch Walk, Porthcawl, CF36 5AN, United Kingdom, operates Pawshare. Pawshare provides technology that helps dog owners find and arrange care with community or professional sitters and walkers.
These terms are a draft under legal review. They are published for transparency and testing only and are not yet effective or legally approved. Final terms may change before Pawshare accepts live commercial bookings.
Back to contents2. Eligibility and accounts
- Users must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. This age rule must be enforced in the final signup flow before launch.
- Account information must be accurate, current, and personal to the account holder. Users must protect login credentials and notify Pawshare of suspected unauthorised access.
- A person should maintain one Pawshare account. Verified login methods using the same email may be linked to that account. Creating accounts to evade suspension, reviews, safety controls, fees, or limits is prohibited.
- Owner and sitter roles may coexist on one account. Users remain responsible for activity performed in either role.
3. Pawshare's role
Pawshare provides a marketplace, booking, messaging, payment-token, care-card, review, and safety-support service. Unless Pawshare expressly states otherwise, Pawshare is not the sitter, dog owner, employer, employment agency, insurer, veterinary provider, or party delivering the booked care.
Owners and sitters are responsible for deciding whether they are suitable for each other and for the agreement formed when a booking is accepted. Pawshare may provide checks, profiles, reviews, and safety tools, but these do not guarantee identity, conduct, qualifications, availability, or a particular outcome.
Back to contents4. Owner responsibilities
- Provide complete and accurate dog, behaviour, medical, medication, feeding, walking, access, veterinary, and emergency information before care starts.
- Disclose risks including aggression, escape behaviour, infectious illness, special handling, household access, and interactions with dogs, cats, children, or people.
- Ensure the dog is legally owned or that the owner has authority to arrange care, and maintain legally required identification, vaccinations, licences, and insurance where applicable.
- Provide safe equipment, sufficient food and medication, emergency contacts, and timely access to the dog and care location.
5. Sitter responsibilities
- Describe experience, services, home, facilities, household, accepted dogs, rates, capacity, availability, qualifications, insurance, and verification information accurately.
- Accept only work the sitter can perform safely, lawfully, and competently, and follow the agreed care plan and reasonable owner instructions.
- Keep required licences, insurance, tax registrations, and professional permissions current. Professional status on Pawshare does not replace legal compliance.
- Use care cards and messages honestly, report incidents promptly, protect keys and home access information, and seek urgent veterinary or emergency help when reasonably necessary.
6. Bookings and changes
A booking request is not confirmed until the sitter accepts it and any required Pawshare payment or token reservation succeeds. Dates, times, dogs, services, locations, rates, care instructions, and agreed changes form the booking record.
Owners and sitters should keep material booking changes in Pawshare so both parties and support staff have an accurate record. Alternate times require the other party's agreement. Either party may decline a request before confirmation.
Back to contents7. Tokens, prices, payments, and payouts
Pawshare may display service prices and process purchases using Paw Tokens or another stated payment method. Final commercial terms must define token value, expiry, refunds, promotions, fees, chargebacks, sitter payouts, and any cash-out arrangement before paid launch.
Card purchases, cash-out and paid professional care are not available during the community-first launch. If Pawshare later enables money movement, the approved provider and final commercial terms will be named before users can enter a transaction.
Back to contents8. Cancellations, refunds, and failures
The cancellation policy shown at the time of booking should govern cancellation windows, token releases, refunds, sitter compensation, and exceptional circumstances. The current cancellation policy is also under legal and commercial review.
Users must contact the other party and Pawshare promptly if care cannot proceed, access fails, a dog becomes unwell, or an emergency changes the service. Pawshare may cancel or suspend a booking where safety, fraud, payment, legal, or platform-integrity concerns arise.
Back to contents9. Safety, emergencies, reports, and disputes
In an immediate emergency, users should contact the appropriate emergency or veterinary service first. Pawshare reporting and support tools are not emergency services.
Pawshare may review relevant profiles, bookings, messages, care cards, media, payment records, reports, and account history to investigate safety issues, disputes, suspected fraud, or breaches of these draft terms. Users must provide truthful information and preserve relevant evidence.
Back to contents10. Messages, reviews, and user content
- Users retain ownership of content they submit but give Pawshare permission to host, copy, resize, display, moderate, and use it as necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service.
- Content must be lawful, accurate where presented as fact, relevant, and respectful. It must not infringe rights, disclose another person's sensitive information without authority, manipulate reviews, advertise prohibited off-platform activity, or contain malware or abuse.
- Pawshare may remove, restrict, preserve, or disclose content where reasonably necessary for safety, moderation, legal compliance, disputes, or platform integrity.
11. Prohibited conduct
- Fraud, impersonation, harassment, discrimination, threats, animal cruelty, unsafe care, unlawful services, payment abuse, review manipulation, scraping, security testing without permission, and attempts to access another user's data are prohibited.
- Users must not bypass Pawshare safeguards, misuse dummy accounts or test tools, interfere with service operation, or use Pawshare information for unsolicited marketing.
12. Suspension and account closure
Pawshare may restrict, suspend, or close an account or booking where reasonably necessary for safety, suspected fraud, legal compliance, non-payment, repeated service failures, or serious or repeated rule breaches. Except where unsafe or unlawful, Pawshare should explain the action and provide a review route.
Users may request account closure and data deletion through the Data Handling and Deletion page. Some booking, payment, safety, dispute, and legal records may be retained as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Back to contents13. Service availability and liability
Pawshare will use reasonable care in operating the platform but cannot promise uninterrupted, error-free, or universally available service. Nothing in the final terms may exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
The final liability allocation, consumer remedies, insurance position, booking contract, and financial limits require UK legal review before these terms can become effective. No user should rely on this draft as defining those rights or limits.
Back to contents14. Intellectual property
Pawshare's software, branding, interface, and platform materials belong to Pawshare or its licensors. Users receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. User content remains subject to the operational licence described above.
Back to contents15. Changes, governing law, and contact
Final terms should identify their effective date and explain material changes before they take effect. The governing-law, jurisdiction, consumer-rights, complaints, and alternative-dispute-resolution wording must be confirmed by UK legal counsel.
